CT Storm Spring 2011 is ON!!!

I really have to applaud the members of the CT Storm league on the following this week: Punctuality, Enthusiasm and Socks.

I know FSA can be a little crowded at that time of night, especially with all the kids running in the lobby, screaming to their parents, 'HEY!! THOSE GUYS ARE PLAYING KICKBALL!!!!' But thanks for getting there early enough to get shirts distributed and get games started in a timely fashion.  Its really important that we make sure that games are running on time, as we rent the facility BY THE HOUR. I want to make sure everyone gets their play time in, but keep in mind that, even though its later in the evening, there are other leagues coming in after us.

I'd like to acknowlege the Ka-Boom box's presence at the fields last night as well. Its really become a kickball staple, so thanks, IJK...Keep up the good work!! And Chad, is it too early for a WAKA 2011 mix? Please and thank you!!

Lastly, SOCKS...some of you guys are truly impressive with the sock selection. Even if its the standard white knee socks (which seems to be an Average Joe's trend), keep up your stylish ways.  I'd like to formally award the Week One Sock Award (btw- I just made it up, and I'm running with it) to Carey from IJK. Multi-colored striped socks FOR THE WIN!!!! I look forward to seeing more of this behavior from you during the season.

Make sure you guys are 'Following' the blog so that you can post comments and whatnot throughout the season. We're using this in lieu of the pdf GMOT we used to send out. YAY for modern technology, right? Make sure you're sending your weekly recaps to ct.gmot@gmail.com and keep in mind that we also like pictures. Lots and lots of pictures. Pictures from games, pictures from events, pictures from the sponsor bar, baby pictures from your parents' collections...send them to us!!!

Keep an eye on a few schedule adjustments this week, too.  Read: PLEASE READ YOUR EMAIL WHEN IT COMES OUT. I PROMISE I WON'T BOMBARD YOU WITH IT, BUT PLEASE READ IT. CHANCES ARE, IT'S IMPORTANT.
